Coaching for Activists and Changemakers

You are alive in one of the most incredible times in our history.

You’re here because you’re called to make a difference in our world, whether that’s through local organizations, electing visionary leaders, or campaigning to change the status quo. Contributing what you’re here to contribute is the most powerful gift you can give the world.

But sometimes, it doesn’t quite feel like a gift to you.

When you’re not seeing a situation clearly or listening to your voice of wisdom, it’s hard to be effective. You might feel like you’re hitting your head against a wall or burning out or just plain unsure what to do next. But you know you have a bigger game to play.

Coaching might be right for you at this time if:

  • You have a glimmering of a dream you’d like to bring into being, but you’re just not sure where to start.
  • You find yourself frustrated with colleagues and you’re ready to change something.
  • You feel overwhelmed by all there is to do or the magnitude of what you’re up against.
  • You find yourself wasting time or money.

Any of those sound familiar? Good! That means you’re onto something.

What you’ll get out of our one-to-one, twice-a-month, 55-minute coaching sessions:

  • Seeing clearly who you are and what you’re here to contribute.
  • Identifying your particular stopping points and tools that can support you to move past them with ease.
  • Practice building the skill to distinguish between your voice of wisdom (we all have one) and your voice of chattering worry that stops you short (we all have one!).
  • Actionable steps that take you directly out onto the playing field and give you the satisfaction of knowing you’re doing what you’re called to do.

Some useful distinctions:

Therapy is about healing, coaching is about taking action.

Consulting is about providing advice and expertise, coaching uses your own wisdom to clarify next steps.

Training follows a prescribed curriculum, coaching is led by your goals and objectives.

Mentorship is based on a mentor’s experience, coaching is about discovering your individual contribution and how to make it.

How does it work?

There are many coaches out there, so I want to make sure we’re both clear that we’re a good fit! The best way to do that is to schedule a free discovery call. The purpose of the call is for you to see what’s important to you, what the next step is, and if working together would support you. No matter what, you’ll leave clearer and ready to move forward.

I use a suggested sliding scale so folks can participate who otherwise couldn’t do so. View rates and sample contract here.
